Fees and steps checked on
The Emirates ID is the UAE identity card issued by ICP, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security. You can check your Emirates ID status yourself on the ICP website or app at no cost. For renewal, we can prepare, submit and follow up the application for you.
Price: Send your details on WhatsApp and you get the total price plus VAT, all official fees included, before any work starts. See attestation fees.
Check your Emirates ID status yourself (free)
Most people searching for Emirates ID tracking just want to know where their card is. You do not need to pay anyone for this:
- Open the ICP ID card status page on icp.gov.ae (ID card status), or the UAEICP app.
- Enter your application number (PRAN) if this is a new card. It is on your application receipt.
- For a renewal or replacement, enter your Emirates ID number instead.
- Select Check Application Status.
- Read the result: under process, printed, or sent for delivery.
If the system does not recognise your number, ICP's call centre can check it, or you can log in to ICP smart services. Once the card is printed, delivery is usually handled by courier, and the courier sends its own tracking messages.
When to ask for help: if the status has not moved for more than a week, if ICP asks for a new photo or a document, or if your residence visa and ID are out of step. That is where a typed and checked application saves time.
What we do and what ICP does
We are a private document service, working with a licensed typing and attestation centre in Bur Dubai. We check your details, prepare and type the application, submit it through the official channels, pay the government fees for you and follow it up. ICP issues the card. Biometrics, when required, are taken at an ICP service centre and you attend in person. We are not ICP, GDRFA or an official Amer or Tasheel centre.
Emirates ID renewal fees
Every official fee is included in the total price you get before any work starts. A late renewal carries a fine of AED 20 per day from one month after expiry, up to a maximum of AED 985.
The card's validity normally follows your residence visa. Our quote shows the official fees and our service charge as one total.
Emirates ID renewal step by step
- Renew your residence first if it is also expiring. Outside Dubai, ICP uses a unified residence and identity form. In Dubai, the residence goes through GDRFA and the ID through ICP.
- Medical fitness test if your residence is being renewed. ICP asks for a "fit" result. See medical fitness test in Dubai.
- Prepare the documents: passport, a new photo, and your current card details.
- Submit and pay online or through a service centre.
- Biometrics, if ICP asks, for applicants aged 15 and over.
- Track the status with your Emirates ID number, then receive the card.
Lost Emirates ID card
- Report the loss to ICP within 7 days.
- Apply for a replacement through ICP's replacement service, online or at a centre.
- Keep your number: the 15-digit identity number stays with you for life.
We can file the replacement and keep you updated until the new card is delivered.
Emirates ID for a new resident or a family member
A first Emirates ID comes at the end of the residence process: entry permit, medical test, residence visa, then the ID. For a spouse or children, we combine it with our family visa services. For employees, companies often hand the whole process to a PRO service.
Emirates ID photo requirements
- A recent personal photo
- For renewal, a photo that is not identical to the one on your current card
- Follow the photo guidance shown on the ICP application screen; we check yours before submitting
Common problems and how to avoid them
- Changed passport. If you renewed your passport, the new number must be updated on your file. Report changes in personal details within one month.
- Old photo reused. ICP rejects a renewal with the same photo as the current card.
- Expired residence. The ID fee is charged per year of residence, so renew the visa first and the ID with it.
- Wrong number in the status check. New card: PRAN. Renewal: Emirates ID number.
