Find the nearest Amer or Tasheel centre yourself

If you just want to walk into a centre, you do not need a middleman:

  1. Amer centres: open the GDRFA Dubai website or app and use the Amer centre list, or call the GDRFA Amer call centre, which runs 24 hours. Dubai has about 75 Amer branches.
  2. Tasheel centres: MOHRE publishes its list of approved business service centres on mohre.gov.ae, with each centre's location. Gulf News reported 73 of them in Dubai.
  3. ICP centres: the ICP website lists its customer happiness centres, including Al Barsha and Al Rashidiya in Dubai.
  4. Check the hours before you go. Centres keep their own opening times, while the GDRFA, ICP and MOHRE websites and apps accept applications at any time.

Do it online yourself: many residents apply directly through the GDRFA Dubai website or app with UAE PASS, the UAEICP app for Emirates ID, and MOHRE's online services for labour transactions. If your case is simple and your documents are in order, that is the cheapest route.

When it pays to have us do the typing

  • You cannot take time off to queue, or you are outside the UAE.
  • Your file keeps getting returned for a missing document or a spelling difference.
  • You need several steps joined up, such as attesting a marriage certificate, then filing a family visa, then the medical and Emirates ID.
  • The form must be in Arabic or needs a legal translation.

How it works

  1. Send photos of your passport, visa and any certificates on WhatsApp, with what you need.
  2. Get a checklist and the total price before any work starts.
  3. We type the application and check every name and number against your passport.
  4. We submit and pay the official fees through the official channel.
  5. You attend only where the law requires: the medical test and biometrics.
  6. We follow up and send you the result, permit or receipt.

Check your application status yourself

  • Dubai visa: log in to the GDRFA Dubai website or app with UAE PASS.
  • Emirates ID: ICP website, ID card status page, with your application number (PRAN) or Emirates ID number.
  • Work permit: MOHRE online services or app.
  • MOFA attestation: the MOFA verification site with the reference number and date.

Common problems at typing centres and how to avoid them

  • Spelling that does not match the passport. One letter can mean a rejected application and a new fee.
  • Old or reused photos. ICP rejects an Emirates ID renewal with the same photo as the current card.
  • Unattested certificates. Family visas and many work permits need attested documents, which take time to arrange from abroad.

We work with clients across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, and with people still overseas preparing their move.

Good to know

Questions people ask

What is an Amer centre?

Amer centres are GDRFA Dubai's approved service centres for residency and visa transactions, such as entry permits, residence issue and renewal, cancellation and visit visas. They are run by licensed operators under GDRFA rules.

What is Tasheel?

Tasheel is the name used for MOHRE-approved business service centres that handle labour transactions, such as work permits, labour contracts and their renewal and cancellation. MOHRE publishes the list of approved centres on its website.

How do I find the nearest Amer centre?

Use the GDRFA Dubai website or app, which list the Amer centres, or call the GDRFA Amer call centre. Dubai has a network of about 75 Amer branches.

Is there an Amer centre open 24 hours?

The GDRFA Amer call centre runs around the clock and the GDRFA website and app accept applications at any time. Physical centres keep their own opening hours, so check before you go.

Do I need to visit a typing centre at all?

Often not. Most visa, Emirates ID and labour applications can be filed online by you, or by a service that types and submits them for you. You still attend in person for the medical test and biometrics.

Are you an Amer or Tasheel centre?

No. We are a private document service working with a licensed typing and attestation centre in Bur Dubai. We type and submit through the official channels; GDRFA, ICP and MOHRE make every decision.

What can a typing centre do for me?

Type government applications in the correct format, often in Arabic, attach the documents, pay the official fees and submit. Common jobs are visa and Emirates ID applications, labour contracts, attestation requests and legal translations.
