Fees and steps checked on
MOFA attestation fees are set by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs: AED 150 for each personal document and AED 2,000 for each commercial document, according to MOFA's official FAQ, checked on . The fee is charged per document, and it is the same in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and every other emirate. Courier and service charges come on top when you apply yourself.

MOFA shows the exact amount on screen before you pay. It depends on the number of documents, the route and whether a document is personal or commercial.
Courier charges
When you apply online, an approved courier collects the original and brings it back. MOFA lists these options for its main courier:

Other approved couriers have their own rates. There is no separate urgent attestation fee on MOFA's official pages, so the courier is the only part you can pay to speed up. Faster routes for every country are on quick attestation.
MOFA attestation fee for a marriage certificate
A marriage certificate counts as a personal document, so MOFA charges AED 150 for it. The same applies to a birth certificate, a divorce certificate and a degree.
What changes the total is where the certificate was issued:
- Issued in the UAE: the issuing court or authority first, then MOFA. Our total is from AED 250 plus VAT. See MOFA marriage certificate attestation.
- Issued abroad: the home country's steps and the UAE embassy come before MOFA. A UK marriage certificate is from AED 985 plus VAT on the standard route, a USA one AED 1,025 plus VAT and a Canadian one AED 1,900 plus VAT, all fees included. See marriage certificate attestation.

You can apply on the MOFA website or app with UAE PASS. MOFA also allows anyone to apply on someone else's behalf, which is how we work.

Charges that catch people out
- Commercial versus personal. A power of attorney given by a company is commercial, at AED 2,000, not AED 150. Tell us who signed it.
- Late eDAS payment. MOFA fines AED 500 per commercial invoice if it is not paid after the 14 day grace period.
- Rejected applications. MOFA refunds rejected applications automatically within 14 days. A file that is wrong from the start still costs you time.
- Documents from abroad. The MOFA fee is only one stage. The home country and embassy steps cost more, which is why foreign documents start from AED 985 plus VAT. See commercial document attestation for company papers.

What to send us for an exact total
Send a photo of the document on WhatsApp and say whether it is personal or commercial, and whether it was issued in the UAE or abroad. You get the route and one total price, MOFA fee and courier included, before anything is filed.
