The UAE golden visa is a long-term residence visa that does not depend on an employer sponsor in the usual way. It is open to several groups of people, each with its own conditions. We help you apply from start to finish: eligibility check, document attestation and equivalency, application preparation and follow up, through our partner, a licensed typing and attestation centre in Bur Dubai.

Main golden visa categories
In general terms, the golden visa covers:
- Skilled professionals with a high salary, a degree and a job at a high skill level
- Investors, for example in property or in a company, above a minimum value
- Entrepreneurs with an approved project or business
- Outstanding talent, such as people recognised in science, culture, the arts, sport or other fields
- Outstanding students and graduates who meet the academic conditions

Skilled professionals: the most common route
For skilled professionals, the Abu Dhabi government page lists an attested bachelor's degree or equivalent, a MOHRE skill level of 1 or 2 and a monthly salary of at least AED 30,000. For a degree from abroad, GDRFA and ICP have also asked for a recognition (equivalency) certificate from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Documents for a golden visa application
The exact list depends on the category. Common documents are:
- Passport copy and a recent photo
- Current visa and Emirates ID, if you already live in the UAE
- Attested degree and, for a foreign degree, the recognition certificate
- Employment contract and salary proof, for skilled professionals
- Proof of investment, such as property or company documents, for investors
- Supporting letters or awards, for outstanding talent
- Academic records, for students and graduates

Which comes first
Attestation comes first, then recognition, then the application. The recognition application relies on the attested degree, so starting in the wrong order only adds time. If your degree was already attested for your work visa, you may not need to attest it again. We check the MOFA stamp and tell you.
Attestation abroad is often the longest part. Equivalency also takes time, and the decision is made by the Ministry. We tell you the expected timeline for your case before you start.
Common problems to avoid
- Applying under the wrong category. Check eligibility before you pay for any document work.
- Apostille without UAE attestation. The UAE is not in the Apostille Convention, so the embassy and MOFA steps are still needed.
- Laminated degree. MOFA rejects laminated documents.
- Name differences between the degree, the passport and the employment contract.
- Salary proof that does not match the contract. Make sure both show the same figures.
