Fees and steps checked on
Transcript and mark sheet attestation makes your academic record valid in the UAE, using the same chain as the degree it belongs to: the university or education authority, the foreign ministry, the UAE embassy and UAE MOFA. It is usually needed for degree recognition, a skilled job visa, teaching licences and further study in the UAE.
Price: UK personal documents from AED 985 plus VAT (standard) or AED 1,600 (premium), USA from AED 1,025 plus VAT, Canada from AED 1,900 plus VAT, and UAE transcripts for MOFA attestation only from AED 250 plus VAT, all official fees included. Other countries: send a copy on WhatsApp and you get the total price before any work starts. See attestation fees.
Who needs an attested transcript in the UAE
- Degree recognition (equivalency). The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research may ask for the transcript with the degree when it reviews your qualification. See equivalency certificate in the UAE.
- Teachers, doctors, engineers and other licensed roles, where the regulator reviews subjects and hours.
- Employers in skilled roles, which ask for an attested educational certificate for the work permit.
- Further study, when a UAE university asks for attested proof of your previous grades.
Your degree goes through degree certificate attestation. Doing the transcript at the same time saves a second courier trip and a second embassy fee schedule.

| Philippines | CHED or DepEd CAV | DFA apostille, UAE Embassy Manila, MOFA |

Mark sheet attestation for Indian graduates
Indian graduates often hold one mark sheet per semester or per year, plus a provisional certificate and a consolidated mark sheet. Each original you send through the chain is a separate document with its own stamps and fees, so check which ones the UAE office actually needs before you start. Ask whether the degree plus one consolidated mark sheet is enough: it means fewer documents and lower fees.
The usual order is the university or state education department (often called HRD attestation), then the Ministry of External Affairs, then the UAE embassy in India, then UAE MOFA. The full route for the degree itself is on India degree attestation.
Transcript attestation step by step
- Get the right document from the university: an official transcript or final mark sheets, sealed and signed. Separate yearly mark sheets may need a consolidated version.
- Check names and dates against your passport and degree.
- Education authority step where your country requires it, such as CHED in the Philippines or the state education department in India.
- Foreign ministry apostille or authentication.
- UAE embassy attestation, now digital with MOFA for countries such as the UK and the USA.
- MOFA attestation in the UAE, where the embassy step was on paper.
Documents you need
- Original transcript or mark sheets, not laminated
- Your degree certificate, if it is being attested too
- Passport copy
- For India: any authority letter the university or state department asks for
WES evaluation is a different process
Many people search for WES transcript evaluation in the same breath. WES is a credential evaluation service used mainly for Canada and the USA. It sets its own rules and often wants transcripts sent directly by your university in a sealed envelope, or authenticated by the government, depending on the country. UAE attestation does not replace a WES evaluation, and a WES report does not replace UAE attestation.
Common problems and how to avoid them
- Laminated mark sheets. MOFA does not accept laminated documents. Ask the university for a fresh copy.
- One mark sheet per year. Each separate sheet may count as a separate document with its own fee. A consolidated transcript is often cheaper to attest.
- Name mismatch between the degree and the transcript. Fix it at the university before the chain starts.
How we help
We confirm which transcript pages the receiving office needs, guide the university step, and run the foreign ministry, embassy and MOFA stamps with your degree. Our partner centre in Bur Dubai prepares and submits the applications; the universities, ministries and embassies issue the stamps.
