Fees and steps checked on
Philippines birth certificate attestation is what Filipino parents in the UAE need before sponsoring a child born in the Philippines, and what some schools ask for at admission. Each PSA birth certificate gets a DFA apostille, then UAE Embassy Manila attestation, then MOFA attestation in the UAE. Every child is a separate document with separate fees.
Price: The Philippines is quoted per document. Send a copy on WhatsApp and you get the total price, all official fees included, before any work starts. See attestation fees.
Official charges per child
Every official fee and the courier are included in the total price you get before any work starts.
If you already hold recent PSA copies, the DFA apostille alone takes about 4 working days, or the next business day expedited. Our quote lists every child and gives one total.
When a Philippine birth certificate needs attestation
Child residence visa. GDRFA in Dubai lists an attested birth certificate for each sponsored child, and ICP asks for children's birth certificates too. Full file: documents to attest for a UAE family visa.
School admission. Some schools in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the northern emirates ask for one. See attestation for school admission.
Your own birth certificate. Adults are sometimes asked for it in UAE personal status matters.
Step by step for each child
- Check the PSA copy. Send us a photo. A local civil registrar copy or a hospital record is not what the DFA apostilles.
- Apostille. Order the PSA copy with apostille online, or apostille a PSA copy you already hold.
- UAE Embassy in Manila. Processed through VFS Global since about May 2024, with fees paid on the MOFA portal.
- MOFA in the UAE. On the digital route, the embassy and MOFA stamps are issued together.
- Delivery to you in the UAE, ready for GDRFA, ICP or the school.
Born in the UAE?
A child born in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or any other emirate has a UAE birth certificate, so nothing goes to Manila. See birth certificate attestation for that route.
Do the whole family at once
Parents sponsoring children usually also need the Philippine marriage certificate attested. Ordering every PSA copy and apostille together, then sending them to the embassy in one batch, keeps the family file moving as a unit.
Common problems with PSA birth certificates
- A civil registrar copy instead of PSA.
- Late registration. If the birth was registered late, send a photo and we confirm what the chain needs.
- Middle name or surname differences between the certificate and the child's passport.
- Old red ribbon documents from before May 2019. Send a photo and we confirm whether a fresh apostille is needed.
