Fees and steps checked on
Plenty of families live in Dubai or Al Ain with a marriage contract written in Oman. To sponsor a husband or wife on a UAE residence visa, that contract needs two official stamps: the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, now reached through Oman Post, and the UAE Embassy in Muscat. The embassy issues the MOFA attestation at the same time, so nothing else is needed on the UAE side.
We are a private firm, DubaiCertificateAttestation.com, not MOFA, an embassy or a government office. Pickup and delivery of your documents anywhere in Dubai is free.
Price: There is no fixed price for Oman. Send a copy on WhatsApp and you get the total price plus VAT, all official fees included, before any work starts. See attestation fees.
Which Omani document you start with
Omani marriages are written up by the notary public departments of the Ministry of Justice. Officials there cannot register a marriage unless both partners show a valid premarital medical certificate, so most couples already hold a full set of papers from the day itself. The contract the notary gave you is the document that travels.
If you married at your own embassy in Muscat, or abroad and only lived in Oman, the certificate is not Omani. It follows the chain of the country that issued it. Send us a photo first and we will say which applies.
Oman Post replaced the ministry counter
This is the change that catches most people out. The Omani foreign ministry no longer stamps papers over its own desk. Oman Post handles every request, either on its online platform or at selected branches in Muscat, Sur, Sohar, Nizwa, Salalah, Al Buraimi, Khasab and Madha. Our partners in Oman file it for you.
How the Muscat embassy finishes the job
Once the Omani stamp is on, the request goes in on the UAE MOFA website with UAE PASS, with Oman picked as the country of issue. An approved courier collects the contract. The embassy attests it, and the email you receive already carries both the embassy and MOFA attestation. A reference number and issue date let anyone check it on verify.mofa.gov.ae.

Papers to have ready
- The original notary marriage contract, never laminated.
- Passports for both of you.
- Your old Omani resident cards, if you have them, to match name spelling.
Arabic is fine
The contract will be in Arabic. MOFA reads Arabic, so translation is optional. Add an English legal translation only if a UAE school, bank or employer asks.
Before you send it
Check the names against both passports. A missing letter in a transliterated name is the most common reason a family visa officer asks questions. Children born in Oman can go in the same parcel, since their birth certificates use the same Oman Post and Muscat route. See attestation for a family visa and birth certificate attestation.
