Qatar degree attestation makes a bachelor's, master's or diploma issued in Qatar valid in the UAE for a work permit, a professional licence or degree recognition. The route is: the university confirms the degree, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs legalises it, then the UAE Embassy in Doha attests it digitally. That same application carries MOFA attestation, so no extra stamp is needed once it reaches the UAE.

Who needs a Qatari degree attested in the UAE
- Professionals who studied in Doha and move to Dubai or Abu Dhabi for a skilled job. The work permit asks for an attested degree. See attestation for an employment visa.

The full UAE route for a Qatari degree
- University confirmation. The university in Qatar confirms the degree. If your file needs a Ministry of Education and Higher Education step before the foreign ministry, we tell you from the copy.
- Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Doha ministry legalises the degree. The UAE Embassy in Doha lists this as a required first step.
- UAE Embassy in Doha, digital. The application is filed on the UAE MOFA website with UAE PASS, with Qatar as the issuing country. An approved provider picks up the original degree. You receive it by email, attested by the embassy and MOFA together.
- Original returned. The paper degree comes back by courier. Check the attestation at verify.mofa.gov.ae.
Documents you need
- The original degree, not laminated.

- A passport copy and a copy of your Qatar ID, even if it has expired.

Branch campus degrees
Many people in Doha study at branch campuses of foreign universities. The certificate itself decides the route. A degree certificate issued in Qatar goes through the Qatari chain. One printed and issued by the home campus abroad goes through the UAE embassy in that country instead. The Doha embassy only accepts documents issued in Qatar, so check this before anything is sent. A photo of the certificate is usually enough for us to tell.
Living in Dubai with a Qatari degree
The Qatari steps need the original in Qatar. A courier or a relative in Doha hands it in, and the attested original comes back to the UAE. MOFA lets anyone apply on your behalf, so you do not need leave or a trip.
After attestation: recognition in the UAE

Common problems with Qatari degrees
- Expecting a GCC exemption. We found no official rule that lets a Qatari degree skip the embassy step.
- Foreign degree attested in Doha. A UK or Indian degree you used in Qatar cannot be attested by the UAE Embassy in Doha. It goes through its own country's route.
- Name spelling. Qatar ID transliteration and your passport can differ. Send both copies.
- Laminated degree. MOFA does not attest laminated papers.
