Fees and steps checked on
Thousands of Bangladeshi men work in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, and once the salary allows, the next step is a family visa for the wife. The visa office will ask for one document above all: the marriage record from Bangladesh, the Nikah Nama or Kabin Nama, attested for the UAE and translated. This page explains that one file in detail.
DubaiCertificateAttestation.com is a private document service, not MOFA, an embassy or a government office. We collect your papers free of charge anywhere in Dubai and deliver the finished set back to you.
Price: There is no fixed price for Bangladesh. Send a copy on WhatsApp and you get the total price plus VAT, all official fees included, before any work starts. See attestation fees.
The certificate you start with
A Muslim marriage in Bangladesh is registered by a Nikah registrar, the Kazi, who issues the Nikah Nama (often called the Kabin Nama). That registered document is what the ministries stamp. If the ceremony was never registered with a Kazi, there is nothing yet to attest, and registering it comes first. A faded or torn copy is better replaced with a fresh certified copy from the registrar before the chain starts.
Five stops for a Nikah Nama
- Kazi's registered certificate, checked against both passports.
- Ministry of Law and Justice, the step VFS lists for personal papers.
- Foreign ministry in Dhaka. It now works through the MyGov platform and can issue an e-Apostille, which for the UAE is only a middle step.
- UAE mission stamp. Usually the UAE Embassy in Dhaka on its digital service: an online request on the MOFA portal, a courier picks up the original, and the email that comes back carries embassy and MOFA attestation together. Some files can instead be counter attested by the Bangladesh mission in the UAE, and those then need MOFA here as a separate stamp.
- Certified translation into English or Arabic. See legal translation in Dubai.
What we need from you
- The original Nikah Nama or Kabin Nama.
- Husband's and wife's passport copies.
- Any stamps already on the certificate, so no step is paid for twice.
Timing at a glance
| Stage | Office | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Registrar | Kazi | depends on the registrar |
| Law ministry | Ministry of Law and Justice | not published |
| Foreign ministry | Dhaka | not published |
| UAE embassy and MOFA | UAE Embassy in Dhaka, digital | around 2 to 3 business days |
The single price covers every ministry, the embassy, MOFA, the courier and the translation.
Spelling is the real risk
The same Bengali name can come out as Mohammad, Mohammed or Md in English. If the Nikah Nama, the translation and the two passports do not agree, the family visa officer may send the file back. We compare all four before anything goes to Dhaka, and if a gap is too big we tell you whether an affidavit will help.
Children's papers in the same trip
If you have children, their birth certificates need a similar Dhaka chain for their own visas. Sending them with the Nikah Nama saves a second round of courier time. See attestation for a family visa.
Mistakes to avoid
- Stopping at the e-Apostille.
- Laminating the certificate to protect it. Laminated papers cannot be stamped.
- Submitting the Bengali original without a certified translation.
Degrees, SSC and HSC certificates and other papers from Bangladesh are covered on Bangladesh certificate attestation. Rules that apply to every country are on marriage certificate attestation.
