Fees and steps checked on
Cameroon runs two education systems, two official languages and two MINREX desks, and that shapes every attestation file for the UAE. Whatever the paper, the Ministry of External Relations (MINREX) must legalise it first. A UAE embassy accredited to Cameroon then attests the MINREX stamp, and MOFA in the Emirates adds the final seal. Cameroon is outside the Hague apostille system, as is the UAE, so no apostille can replace this chain.
We are a private document service, not MOFA, an embassy or a government office. We coordinate each Cameroonian and Emirati stage and include free document pickup and delivery anywhere in Dubai.
Price: There is no fixed price for Cameroon. Send a copy on WhatsApp and you get the total price plus VAT, all official fees included, before any work starts. See the fees page for how the figure is built.
Yaoundé or Douala: the right MINREX desk
MINREX has its main office in Yaoundé and a branch in Douala. According to a guide from the Cameroon embassy in the United States, the split is by region of issue:
| Region where the paper was issued | MINREX desk |
|---|---|
| Littoral, West, North West, South West | Douala branch |
| Centre, South, East, Adamawa, North, Far North | Yaoundé |
That guide is older, so we confirm the current split when we see your document. Sending a Bamenda certificate to Yaoundé is the most common way Cameroonian files lose a week.
Anglophone and francophone papers
English documents from the North West and South West, such as GCE O and A level certificates or University of Buea degrees, are read by MOFA as they are.
French documents, such as the baccalauréat, most actes de naissance and many degrees from francophone universities, need a certified translation into English or Arabic. We plan that with our translation desk so names follow your passport.
Before MINREX
The ministry legalises signatures it recognises. A degree needs its university's confirmation, an exam certificate its exam board, an acte de naissance or acte de mariage the civil status centre, and a criminal record extract the court registry that issued it. Company papers come from the registry or a notary and are billed as commercial by MOFA.
No UAE embassy in Cameroon
Public lists of UAE missions show no resident embassy in Cameroon, and coverage comes from a UAE embassy in another country. That adds a leg to the courier route. We confirm which mission currently covers Cameroon and how it takes in papers before anything moves, so your original does not wait in the wrong city.
GCE or baccalauréat: which certificate HR needs
UAE employers often ask for the highest qualification only, usually the degree. Schools and some licensing bodies want the secondary certificate too. In Cameroon that is either the GCE A level from the anglophone board or the baccalauréat from the francophone system, and each has its own issuing body. Check with your employer which ones they want before you send anything, so both travel in one courier run.
From the Emirates
You do not need to travel to Douala or Yaoundé. Family or a courier moves the original, and an authorised person can file the UAE application. For a spouse visa, read the marriage guide. For a child, read about birth records.
Neighbouring paperwork has its own chain: Nigeria and Chad.
Where Cameroonian files go wrong
- Wrong MINREX desk for the region of issue.
- Damaged or handwritten actes de naissance. A fresh certified copy from the civil status centre is often safer.
- Name order and spelling that differ between French and English papers and the passport.
- Laminated certificates, which MOFA will not stamp.
