A bachelor's, master's or diploma earned in Kuwait has to be attested before a UAE employer can file a skilled work permit, before a UAE regulator will licence you, and before the Ministry of Higher Education will recognise it. Kuwait does not issue apostilles, so every stamp is added by hand, from the university up to MOFA attestation in the UAE.

Five stamps on a Kuwaiti degree
We follow the order used by VFS Global, which processes UAE attestation for documents from Kuwait.

Who asks for it in the UAE

Your checklist
- Original degree, flat and never laminated.
- Transcript, if listed. See transcript attestation.
- Passport copy.
- Kuwaiti civil ID copy. Even an expired card shows how Kuwait spelled your name in English, which helps when it differs from the passport.

Why degrees take longer
Civil papers from Kuwait, such as a marriage contract, go straight to the foreign ministry. A degree waits at the university and then at the education ministry first, and neither publishes a processing time. If your offer letter has a start date, tell us at the start and we say honestly whether it can be met. The final MOFA stage in the UAE normally takes 1 to 3 business days by courier.
No need to fly back
People often discover in Dubai, usually when the employer asks for it, that their Kuwaiti degree was never attested. The fix does not need a flight. Problems we catch early
- Education ministry skipped. The commonest reason a Kuwaiti degree comes back.
- Two spellings of one name. Civil ID and passport rarely match exactly.
- Recognition queries on private colleges. Name the institution in your first message.
- Arabic only. Fine for MOFA. A legal translation is needed only if your employer asks for English.
