Sudanese degrees for UAE jobs

Sudanese degree attestation for the UAE

A degree from a Sudanese university needs the university's own authentication, the Sudanese foreign ministry and a UAE attestation before a UAE employer or the visa office accepts it. Since the war, several of those offices have moved, so we confirm the working path from a copy first.

Sudanese degree attestation is the process that makes a bachelor's, master's or diploma from a university in Sudan valid for a UAE work permit, a professional licence or an equivalency application. The order of stamps has not changed: the university confirms the degree, the education side documents it, the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs authenticates it, a UAE mission attests it, and MOFA attestation completes it. What has changed since 2023 is where each office sits.

We are a private document service in Dubai, not MOFA, an embassy or a government office. We collect your papers for free anywhere in Dubai and bring them back when they are done.

Price: there is no fixed price for Sudan. Send a copy on WhatsApp and you get the total price plus VAT, all official fees included, before any work starts.

Why Sudanese degrees need extra checking

Before 2023 nearly every step happened in Khartoum. The war scattered that chain. Universities opened records offices in safer cities, and the foreign ministry set up degree documentation sections in Port Sudan and at its embassy in Cairo, as it announced in June 2023. In May 2025 Sudan also announced it was cutting ties with the UAE and withdrawing its missions here. The full background is on our Sudan certificate attestation page. For a degree, the practical result is simple: we confirm every stop on your chain before anything is sent.

Which documents you need

  • The original degree certificate, or an official replacement issued by the university.
  • The academic record or transcript, if the UAE side asks for grades or course hours.
  • A copy of your passport, so the name can be matched.
  • Your graduation year and faculty, which the university needs to find your file.
  • For equivalency later: a copy of your Emirates ID and the exact start and end dates of the course.

Step list for a Sudanese degree

  1. University records office. The university that awarded the degree confirms and authenticates it. Many now work from a branch outside Khartoum. Sudan University of Science and Technology, for example, announced in January 2024 that its Port Sudan office issues and authenticates records for graduates from 2011 onward.
  2. Higher education documentation. Sudanese degrees are documented through the higher education side before the foreign ministry will accept them. We confirm the current office for your university.
  3. Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The degree documentation desk authenticates the education stamp.
  4. UAE mission. A UAE attestation of the Sudanese ministry stamp. Which route accepts Sudanese files is checked at the time of your request.
  5. MOFA in the UAE. The final stamp. After this the degree can be used for the work permit or licence.

Transcripts and the academic record

Sudanese universities usually issue the degree certificate and a separate academic record. Health, engineering and teaching regulators in the UAE often ask for the record as well, because it shows course hours and grades. If you only attest the certificate and the record is asked for later, you go through the whole chain twice. Tell us who asked for the degree and we tell you whether to include it.

After attestation: equivalency

Some UAE employers only need the attested degree. Others, and the skilled golden visa route, need a Certificate of Recognition from the UAE Ministry of Higher Education. That is a separate service with its own timing: see equivalency certificate in the UAE. If you want an English copy for an employer, we add a legal translation after the stamps.

Common problems with Sudanese degrees

  • Degree left behind in Khartoum. Many graduates arrived in the UAE with a photo only. The university records office may be able to issue an official replacement, which can then be attested. We tell you if that is possible for your university.
  • Name written differently. Arabic names transliterated in different ways on the degree, the passport and the UAE visa. Keep the passport copy with every file, and we flag any mismatch before the UAE stage.
  • University stamp missing. A degree sent to the foreign ministry without the university's authentication is refused. The university step always comes first.

Already working in the UAE?

You do not have to travel to Sudan or Egypt. Send a photo on WhatsApp, and we tell you which offices are working for your university, what the original has to go through, and the total price. Questions people ask

My university in Khartoum is closed. Who authenticates my degree now?

Several Sudanese universities moved their records offices out of Khartoum. For example, Sudan University of Science and Technology announced in January 2024 that its office in Port Sudan issues and authenticates degree records. Send us the name of your university and we check where its office works today.

Where does the Sudanese foreign ministry authenticate degrees?

In June 2023 the Sudanese foreign ministry announced degree documentation sections in Port Sudan and at the Sudanese embassy in Cairo. Which counter is accepting files changes, so we confirm it for your degree before quoting.

Do I need my transcript attested as well as the degree?

Often yes. UAE employers for licensed jobs, and the UAE Ministry of Higher Education for equivalency, usually ask for the academic record that lists your courses and grades. It is best to authenticate both in the same round.

My degree is in Arabic only. Is that a problem?

Not for MOFA, which accepts Arabic. Some free zone employers or licensing bodies want English, and then a legal translation is added after attestation.

Do I need an equivalency certificate for a Sudanese degree?

Only if your employer, a licensing body or a golden visa route asks for it. Equivalency is a separate application to the UAE Ministry of Higher Education, made after the degree is attested.

Can I start with only a photo of my degree?

Yes, a photo is enough for us to check the route and quote. The attestation itself needs the original paper degree or an official replacement issued by the university.

How much does Sudanese degree attestation cost?

There is no fixed price for Sudan. Send a copy on WhatsApp and you get the total price plus VAT, all official fees included, before any work starts.
