Fees and steps checked on
Ukraine certificate attestation makes a Ukrainian diploma, birth certificate, marriage certificate or company document valid in the UAE. The UAE is not in the Hague Apostille Convention, so a Ukrainian apostille alone is refused. The usual route is certification by the relevant Ukrainian state body, consular legalisation by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a UAE mission stamp, then MOFA attestation in the UAE.
Price: send a copy on WhatsApp and you get the total price plus VAT, all official fees included, before any work starts. Ukraine has no fixed price; the route and the timing are confirmed when you send a copy. See attestation fees.
The Ukraine to UAE attestation route
Ukrainian legalisation follows a clear order on the Ukrainian side:
- Relevant state body. The Ukrainian authority responsible for that type of document certifies it first. Which body applies to your document is confirmed from your copy.
- Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department of Consular Service. The ministry legalises the document after that certification.
- UAE mission. A UAE embassy or consulate attests the Ukrainian foreign ministry stamp. This is the step that needs checking: which UAE mission currently accepts Ukrainian documents is confirmed with you before you pay.
- MOFA in the UAE. The final stamp that UAE authorities, employers and schools accept.
Ukraine is a member of the Apostille Convention, so many Ukrainian offices issue apostilles by default. For the UAE, ask for consular legalisation, not an apostille, or the document will need to be redone.

Why we confirm Ukraine case by case
We do not publish a fixed timeline or price for Ukraine. The Ukrainian steps are stable, but the UAE embassy step for Ukrainian documents depends on what is open and accepting files at the time. Rather than take your original and find out later, we check the current channel for your exact document first. If a document cannot be done right now, you are told before anything is sent.
Fees you can plan for
Every quote includes all official fees, Ukrainian and UAE, so there are no surprise charges later.
Already in the UAE?
If you live in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or the northern emirates, your originals may be here with you. The Ukrainian steps need the original in Ukraine, so it either goes back by courier or a trusted relative there hands it in. MOFA lets anyone apply on your behalf at the UAE end. If the original is lost or damaged, ask about a duplicate before you start.
A spouse or child with certificates from Poland needs that country's own chain: see Poland certificate attestation.
Common problems with Ukrainian documents
- Apostille only. The document has an apostille and nothing else. For the UAE it needs consular legalisation instead.
- Language. Documents in Ukrainian or Russian need a certified translation into Arabic or English. See legal translation in Dubai.
- Name spelling. The Latin spelling in the translation must match your passport and UAE visa.
- Lamination. MOFA does not attest laminated certificates.
For a work visa, see degree certificate attestation; for children's residence visas, birth certificate attestation. Other routes are on attestation by country.
