Fees and steps checked on
Bangladesh degree attestation makes a bachelor's, master's or diploma from a Bangladeshi university valid for a UAE skilled work permit, a professional licence or degree recognition. The order matters: the university, then the Ministry of Education, then the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka, then a UAE embassy step and MOFA attestation. Each stamp confirms the one before it, so none can be skipped.
Price: There is no fixed price for Bangladesh. Send a copy on WhatsApp and you get the total price plus VAT, all official fees included, before any work starts. See attestation fees.
We are a private document service, not MOFA, an embassy or a government office. Free document pickup and delivery anywhere in Dubai is included.
Which documents you need
- The original degree certificate, signed by the university.
- The transcript or mark sheet, if the UAE request asks for it.
- SSC and HSC certificates from the education board, only where the request names them.
- A passport copy, and your NID number if the MyGov online route is used.
Step by step for a Bangladeshi degree
- University attestation. The university that issued the degree confirms it, usually through its registrar or examinations office. For National University colleges, the National University signs, not the college.
- Ministry of Education. The education ministry attests the university signature. The foreign ministry will not take an academic paper without this stamp.
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka. The consular wing attests the education ministry signature. Bangladesh now also issues e-Apostilles through MyGov, which is the foreign ministry step for the UAE, not the end of the chain.
- UAE embassy step. The UAE Embassy in Dhaka offers digital attestation through the MOFA portal, where the embassy and MOFA attest together. VFS also lists a counter attestation route for some files. Which one your degree follows is confirmed from your copy.
- MOFA UAE. Part of the digital route, or a separate final stamp on the other route.
How the attested degree is used in the UAE
Work permits. Skilled roles need an attested degree before the permit is issued. See attestation for an employment visa.
Recognition. Engineers, teachers and health workers are often asked for a Certificate of Recognition from the Ministry of Higher Education. It needs the attested degree, the transcript and the exact study dates. See equivalency certificate in the UAE.
Doing it without flying to Dhaka
Most clients are already working in Dubai, Sharjah or Abu Dhabi. A relative in Bangladesh can take the original to the university and the two ministries, or the file travels by courier. The UAE stage is filed online, and MOFA allows anyone to apply on your behalf. Attested documents can be checked on verify.mofa.gov.ae once they come back.
Plan the degree and the transcript together. Each paper is stamped on its own at every ministry, so sending one now and the other later doubles the trips.
Common problems with Bangladeshi degrees
- Missing education ministry stamp. The degree goes straight to the foreign ministry and is returned. It costs weeks, so we check every stamp on your copy first.
- Private university signatures. A certificate that lacks the vice chancellor's or the controller of examinations' signature, or was signed in a period without a valid vice chancellor, can be refused. Ask the university for a correct certificate before starting.
- English spelling of Bengali names. "Mohammad", "Muhammad" and "Md." on the degree, passport and visa papers is a frequent query. A passport copy goes with every file.
If you are also sponsoring family, the wife's Nikah Nama and the children's birth certificates follow their own steps: see Bangladesh marriage certificate attestation and Bangladesh birth certificate attestation. For all Bangladeshi documents, see Bangladesh certificate attestation.
