Jordanian degree attestation makes a bachelor's, master's or doctorate from a Jordanian university valid for a UAE work permit, a professional licence, a golden visa file or an equivalency certificate. The route has three stops: the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Amman, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then the UAE Embassy in Amman, which attests together with MOFA on the UAE digital route.

The ministry step that defines the Jordan route
Jordan has a written rule for this. Regulation No. 54 of 2010 on the attestation of academic certificates says the Ministry of Higher Education attests the signatures and seals on academic certificates and transcripts issued by higher education institutions inside the Kingdom. That stamp is what the foreign ministry legalises next. Without it, the foreign ministry has no recognised signature to stamp, and the degree comes back.
The ministry also books certificate authentication through electronic appointments on its website, so whoever handles the Jordanian side does not queue on the day.
Documents you need
- The original degree certificate from the Jordanian university.
- The transcript, if your UAE employer, licensing body or equivalency file asks for it.
- A copy of your passport and, if you have one, your Jordanian national number.
- A university clearance or graduation letter only if the ministry asks for it for your year of graduation.
- No lamination on the degree.
Step by step
- University. Make sure the degree carries the registrar's signature and seal. Very old certificates may need a fresh copy from the registration department.
- Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The ministry attests the university's signature and seal. A relative or representative books the appointment online and hands in the original.
- Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ministry legalises the higher education stamp.
- UAE Embassy in Amman and MOFA, digitally. The application goes on the UAE MOFA website with UAE PASS, the original is collected, and the embassy and MOFA attest it together. The attested degree arrives by email and the original returns by courier. This stage usually takes 2 to 3 working days.

After attestation
Many UAE employers accept the attested degree as it is. Teachers, engineers, nurses and doctors usually also need recognition from the UAE Ministry of Higher Education or the health authority, which builds on the attested degree and a source verification. Common problems with Jordanian degrees
- Going to the foreign ministry first. It is the most common delay. The higher education stamp must already be on the degree.
- Transcript forgotten. An equivalency or licence request often asks for the transcript later. Attest both in one round to avoid a second trip through Amman.
- Paying for a second MOFA stamp. The digital route already includes MOFA. A Dubai MOFA counter step is not needed and is not part of our quote.
