Fees and steps checked on
Nepal degree attestation turns a bachelor's or master's degree from a Nepali university into a document a UAE employer, licensing body or the Ministry of Higher Education will accept. The degree is confirmed by the university that issued it, attested by the Department of Consular Services of Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kathmandu, then attested by the UAE Embassy in Kathmandu. That embassy step is digital and already counts as MOFA attestation in the UAE.
Price: There is no fixed price for Nepal. Send a copy on WhatsApp and you get the total price plus VAT, all official fees included, before any work starts. See attestation fees.
We are a private document service, not MOFA, an embassy or a government office. We offer free document pickup and delivery anywhere in Dubai.
Which documents you need
- The original degree certificate from the university.
- The transcript or mark sheets, with the controller of examinations stamp, if the request asks for them.
- The plus two certificate from the National Examinations Board, only where the UAE side names it.
- A passport copy, so the spelling of your name can be matched.
Step by step for a Nepali degree
- Issuing university. The degree must be signed and sealed by the university office that keeps the record, such as the controller of examinations. Nepal's missions say a document is verified by the competent authority before the foreign ministry attests it.
- Education step where it applies. Nepal's missions list the Ministry of Education for academic papers. We check from your copy whether your degree goes there before Kathmandu.
- Department of Consular Services. The foreign ministry attests the degree. Since 17 August 2026 the NEATS system takes the application, payment and appointment online, and the original is shown at the appointment.
- UAE Embassy in Kathmandu with MOFA. The application is filed on the MOFA website with Nepal as the country of issuance. An approved provider collects the original, and the attested degree is emailed to you.
- Original back. The paper degree returns by courier, usually within 24 to 48 hours of the embassy releasing it.
How Nepali degrees are used in the UAE
Skilled work permits. Engineers, nurses, accountants and IT staff moving to a skilled job are usually asked for an attested degree. See attestation for an employment visa.
Recognition. Teachers and health workers often need a Certificate of Recognition from the Ministry of Higher Education. It builds on the attested degree and asks for the transcript and the exact study dates. See equivalency certificate in the UAE.
Doing it from the UAE
Most Nepali clients are already working in Dubai, Sharjah or Abu Dhabi and cannot take leave for a week in Kathmandu. A family member can attend the NEATS appointment with the original degree, or we arrange the courier. Plan the degree and the transcript together, because each one goes through the Department of Consular Services and the UAE Embassy on its own.
Common problems with Nepali degrees
- Bikram Sambat dates. Transcripts and some certificates show dates in Bikram Sambat. The recognition form asks for Gregorian dates, so we convert them before filing to avoid a mismatch.
- Transcript stamps. A transcript printed by a campus but not stamped by the university examinations office may be questioned at the foreign ministry. Get the university stamp first.
- Spelling of names. A surname spelled two ways, such as Shrestha and Shresta, or a middle name dropped on the passport, cause queries. A passport copy goes with every file.
- Degrees from India. Many Nepalis studied in India. Those degrees follow the Indian chain, set out on Indian degree attestation.
For all Nepali documents, see Nepal certificate attestation. The rules that apply to degrees from every country are on degree certificate attestation.
